Helen M. (Kapish) Boehme

BARBERTON---Helen M. Boehme (nee Kapish), 86, passed away July 19, 2020.

Helen was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and graduate of the Barberton High School Class of 1951. Helen retired from the Babcock and Wilcox Co. after 24 years of service. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where she used to be active in St. Monica’s Altar Society, The Holy Hour Program and the Funeral Luncheons.  Helen had many lifelong friends. She loved playing cards and making people laugh. She was an avid sports fan especially for Notre Dame and the Cleveland Browns. Most of all she had a great love for her family.

Preceded in death by her husband James; and brothers Robert and Gene Kapish; She is survived by her son Robert (Sandra) of Barberton; daughter Terry (Pat) Canfora of Norton; granddaughter and love of her life Marie Canfora (Kory); beloved family dog “Brody” two nieces and six nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW., Barberton. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Augustine Endowment Trust Fund.
