Helen L. (Bennett) Caynor

Helen Lenore Caynor, 84, died on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at Rockynol Living in Akron Ohio. Helen was born in Gaines, West Virginia on December 27, 1938 to Charles Bennett and Lillian V (Jones) Bennett. The family moved to Rock Cave, West Virginia where she met her husband, Earl Ross Caynor, marrying him on June 4, 1955. They moved to Ohio in the 1950s. Helen worked most of her life at Barberton Citizens Hospital. Throughout her life, she was a compassionate person known to help anyone needing it. She was an accomplished seamstress, avid reader, Country Music fan and loved to crochet. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Helen is survived by her children Delores (Tim), Terra Haute, Indiana, Alice (Bernard) Ponyah, Camp Verde, Arizona, Alan (Kimberly) of Barberton and David (Annette) of Norton, Ohio. Her brother; Gene Bennett, grandchildren: Stephanie (Kevin), Harvey, Ross, Dakota, Brandon and Brooke (Nick); great-grandchildren; Easton, Colton, Keegan, Kennedy and Kodiak; Nieces, nephews and cousins; Sam Sampson, Katherine Sue Powers, David Sampson and numerous other family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl, sister June and brothers Robert, Don and Vernon. Helen's Calling Hours will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home. Private burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
