Helen C. Flaker

BARBERTON---Helen C. Flaker, 92, passed away April 8, 2015 at Manor Care of Barberton.

Helen was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and was the co-owner of Flaker Photo Studios. She also retired from Barberton Citizens Hospital Housekeeping Dept. after 16 A½ years. She was a former member of St. Augustine and St. George Catholic Churches and currently a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Helen also sang with the Barberton Hospital Recycle Volunteers.

Preceded in death by her husband George; sons Paul and Frank; and grandsons Frank Flaker Jr. and Travis Olds; Survivors include her son George (Sandy); daughters Judith (Matthew) Hamilton, Yvonne (Harold) Williams, Christine Houghton, Mary (David) Olds and Cheryl (Mark) Bechter; daughter-in-law Cindy Flaker; 18 grandchildren ; and numerous great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to the entire staff at Manor Care of Barberton and Heartland Hospice for their care of Helen.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5-7 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the capital funds at St. Augustine or St. Francis de Sales Church.
