Helen V Getz

NORTON---Helen V. Getz, 74, passed away January 27, 2012 at the Hospice Care Center. Helen was born in Barberton and was a life resident of the Norton/Barberton area where she worked at Hills/Ames Dept. Store and also for the Barberton Board of Education. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Catholic Church and currently a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Norton and was also a member of the Barberton Senior Center. Helen enjoyed yoga, walking and hiking and loved gardening. Preceded in death by her husband Gary R. Getz Sr.; and parents Joseph and Helen Bagdi; Survivors include her sons Gary R. Jr. of Norton, Eric (Kelly) of Barberton, Matthew of Norton and Sean of Barberton; grandchildren Joseph, Jacob and Mikaela Getz; and uncle and good friend Eugene Harhay of Norton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Rev. Robert Jackson, celebrant.
