Helen S. Herold

BARBERTON---Helen S. Herold, 87, passed away July 1, 2014 at Summa Barberton Hospital.

Helen was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church where she participated in the Holy Hour Program.

Preceded in death by her parents William and Dorothy Myers; and sisters Rita Smeltz and Dorothy Gissinger; Survivors include her loving husband of 61 years Joseph J.; children Kathy (John) Patton of Doylestown, Joseph Jr. (Kathleen) of Hawkins, TX, Peggy Herold of Barberton, Patrick (Joellen) of Savannah, GA and William of Barberton; grandchildren Michelle (Andrew) Dodson, Steven Denise) Patton, Melissa (Matt) Chase, Amanda (Matt) Wood and Matthew Herold; four great-grandchildren; and brothers William (Eleanor) and Robert (Marlene).


Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW., Barberton. Rev. David McCarthy celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Sunday from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Monday morning at 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH 44333.
