Helen Okolish

BARBERTON---Helen Okolish, 84, passed away October 1, 2010. Born in Flushing, Michigan, she had been a Barberton resident since 1965 where she was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Norton Homemakers, Barberton Women's City Club and Slovene Pensioners. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E; parents Albert and Catherine Janos; sisters Catherine Janos and Betty Vermette; and brothers Martin and Joseph Janos. Survivors include her children William Fuller of Michigan, Carolyn (Raymond) Canfora of Arizona, Jeanette (Edward) Nelson of Michigan, Larry (Kim) Okolish and Lisa (Brian) Miller all of Barberton; grandchildren Marchelle and David Fuller, Andrew Canfora, Ed (Tina) Nelson, Cristal (Steve) Rousseau, Elizabeth (Joe) McCartney, Michael Okolish, Kassie Okolish (fiancAC.e Nick Piscitello) and Logan and Bennett Miller; great-grandchildren Aaron and Ashley Nelson, Alison and Anna Rousseau and Landon Canfora; sisters Pauline Burch and Amelia Alegnani; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2010, 10 AM at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Norton. Rev. Robert Jackson celebrant. Calling Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM.
