Irene M. Shugar

GROVE CITY, OH---Irene M. Shugar, 95, was called home to Heaven on August 27, 2014. Irene was a devout Catholic for all her adult life and she truly lived her Faith. She was the beloved wife of William for over 56 years, and cherished mother to Annette (W. Curtis) Severance; grandmother to David (Stephanie); and great-grandmother to Addy.



Irene was an avid gardener and she shared her bounty with friends and neighbors for many years. In her later years, she made baby clothes for children in orphanages in countries desperate for such needed items. She was the kindest most generous person anyone could ever know. She will be terribly missed by all who loved her. Rest in God's Peace, sweet Mother.


Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 9:00 A.M to 9:45 A.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 A.M. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW.
