Jacqueline "Jackie" R. Ule

Jacqueline “Jackie” R. Ule, age 78, born December 3, 1947, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, with her family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio, Jackie was a proud graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School and carried her Tiger pride with her throughout her life.

Jackie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Ule; her father, Jack Swain; her mother, Ruth Zimmerman; and her granddaughter, Jaclynn Hobbs. She is survived by her children Louis (Krista) Ule, Mike (Jenny) Barclay, and Brenda (Barclay) Hobbs. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Hunter and Wyatt Ule, Sara Hobbs, Heather (Nick) Fling, Jeffrey, Justin, and Jaret Barclay; as well as her adored great‑grandchildren Jace, Meredith, and Savannah Fling.

Family was the center of Jackie’s world. She loved nothing more than cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events and activities, always the loudest supporter and the proudest face in the crowd. Jackie had a gift for connection, she could strike up a conversation anywhere, with anyone, and she delighted in keeping everyone informed, involved, and cared for. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering willingness to help made her a treasured presence in the lives of countless friends and relatives.

Jackie dedicated her career to First National Bank, which later became First Merit, where she worked faithfully until her retirement in 2010. Her colleagues remember her as dependable, kind, and endlessly personable, traits that defined her both at work and at home.

She will be deeply missed by her family and the abundance of friends whose lives she touched with her generosity, loyalty, and love.

The family will welcome relatives and friends for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. at Silva‑Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd W, Barberton, OH 44203.
