James C. Evans

NORTON---James C. Evans, 78, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2011.

Born in Akron he was a Norton resident most of his life and was a proud Navy Veteran having served during the Korean War.

Preceded in death by his wife Phyllis; and two sisters; Survivors include his daughter Cathie (Tim) Dantz of Barberton; son James C. Evans II of Parma Heights; grandchildren Tim, Shane, Rachel and Joshua Dantz, Jim Knotts and Spenser Evans; great-grandchildren Bentley Dantz and Avery and Zoe Knotts; and brother Tom (Betty) Evans of Indiana.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where Wadsworth VFW Post 1089 and American Legion Post 170 will perform Military Honors.
