BARBERTON---James A. Heim, 63, passed away April 5, 2010 after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born in Akron and had been an area resident all his life where he worked at B.F. Goodrich and Arc Machine. Jim was a graduate of Kenmore High School and a member of Barberton Moose Lodge 759, Portage Lakes Eagles 2736 and Barberton Liedertafel. Preceded in death by his parents Adam and Helen; and brother Charles; Survivors include his son James (Connie) Heim of Akron; daughters Jeralyn "Jeri" (Dennis) Barnett of Wadsworth, Christine (Ernie) Staten of Sharon Township and Victoria (James) Withem of Olive Branch, Mississippi; grandchildren Derrick and Josh Heim, Morgan and Scott Staten, Nate Barnett and Thomas and Louis Withem. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Regency Hospital and Summit Pulmonary for their compassionate care. In memory of our father, our mentor, our cheerleader, our inspiration, our foundation and our rock, rest Peacefully; know that you are forever loved and always with us. Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 9, 2010, 11:00 AM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rev. Zach Stewart officiating. Private Burial at Manchester Cemetery. Calling Hours Thursday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
