James H. Hutchinson

James H. Hutchinson, “Hutch”, 101, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025 at his residence.

Hutch was born in Barberton and retired from the Seiberling Tire and Rubber Company in 1980. He also did truck maintenance until he was 70. Hutch was an avid golfer, fisherman, gardener, reader and loved to do woodworking. He was also a proud Navy Veteran having served during World War II.

Preceded in death by his first wife Audrey; son Don; and grandson Paulie Gnap; He is survived by his wife of 34 years Julia “Cookie”; son James (Yvonne); daughters Carol Patana and Judy (Paul) Gnap; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren.

Hutch’s Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Private burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
