BARBERTON---James Loyd Reed, 78, passed away August 21, 2013 at Manor Care of Barberton.


Born in Nicut, West Virginia, he lived in Grantsville, West Virginia for 20 years and almost 40 years in the Wadsworth and Barberton area. James retired from Bearfoot Corp. after 33 years of service. He was also a proud Army Veteran.


Survivors include his daughters Connie Reed and Jayne Reed of Wadsworth, Sherry (Robert) Brockmyer of California and Lona (Louis) Becker of Medina; grandsons Carl, Daniel (Casey), Josh, James, Jacob and Jordon; great grandchildren Gage and Maddison; brothers Carry and Alvin Reed; sister Judith Price; and former wife Sherry Swan.


Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 12:30 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to the service.
