James E. Weigand, 92, passed away March 24, 2026.
Jim was born in Barberton where he was a life resident. He was a teacher at Hoban High School for 15 years then was a Master Tailor at Weigand Furniture. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic CHurch and was also a non-commisioned officer in the Army ROTC while in college.
He was preceded in death by his father Clarence Weigand; mother Marie Schrock; brothers Eugene and Frederick Weigand; and foster sons Delbert and Billy Earl Rhodes. Jim has many friends that will miss him.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026 at St. Augustine Catholic CHurch, 204-6th St. NW., Barberton. Fr. Bill Browne, celebrant. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Church.
