Jay A. Bako

Jay A. Bako, 73, passed away peacefully November 23, 2011 at his residence. Born in Barberton, Jay was an area resident most of his life living in Canton for 28 years and the past 13 years in Akron and retired from the Timken Co. as the Director of Marketing for the Steel Division after 31 years of service. Jay graduated from Barberton High School '56, Case Western Reserve University '61 and from the Harvard Advanced Management Program. He was a member of the Case Western Reserve University and Harvard University Alumni Associations. Preceded in death by his parents Alex and Dorothy Bako; Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years Barbara; sons Justin (Jennifer) and Alex (Larissa); daughter Wendy Baxter; grandchildren Stephen and Nicholas Bako, Logan Baxter; and brother Carl (Maria) Bako. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 27, 2011, 4 P.M., at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Calling Hours Sunday 1 to 4 P.M.
