Jean A. Carson

BARBERTON---Jean A. Carson (nee Wiegert), 85, passed away July 16, 2015.

Jean was born in Antigo, Wisconsin and had been a Barberton resident for the past 54 years. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Norton where she taught Sunday school and was active in the Altar Guild and Ladies Aid Society. Jean also was a volunteer librarian at Arnold Elementary School.

Preceded in death by her husband Dr. Robert C.; and brother Phil Wiegert; Survivors include her sons Reid (Kathryn) of Burke, VA, Mark (Mary) of Rockville, MD and Steven of Barberton; daughter Martha Wade of Arlington Heights, IL; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5451 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd., Norton. Rev. John D. Mashek, officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Sunday from 1-3 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West and also One Hour Prior to the service at the church.
