Jeffrey R. Easthom

DOYLESTOWN---Jeffrey R. Easthom, 59, passed away March 20, 2011 after a brief and very courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was a devoted husband and father, loving son and brother and loyal friend to many. Preceded in death by his father William; brother Cliff; and mother-in-law Kathleen Poling; Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Brenda; sons Derek and Tyler; mother Wanda; and sisters Pam (Jerry) Leksan and Kim (Dave) Ross. He also leaves behind father-in-law Darl Poling; and sisters and brothers-in-law Johnnie and Jeff Fehr and Clay and Tracy Poling; sister-in-law Becky Easthom along with many nieces,nephews, cousins, friends and his co-workers at Fortney and Weygandt. Jeff grew up in a close, loving family and graduated from Norton High School in 1970. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing first with his father, brother, grandpa, uncles and cousins and later with his two boys. A good day for Jeff was sitting in the woods waiting for the Big Buck or standing on the bank of a river fishing for Salmon. He loved gardening and he and Brenda would have a big garden every year, canning their harvest at the end of the season. Jeff was a beloved member of Columbia United Church of Christ in Barberton where they are sure to miss seeing him up in the balcony running the sound or standing with a cup of coffee in his hand, talking to his friends. Rest in peace, Jeff; we are surely going to miss you. Per Jeff's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours.
