Jeffrey E. Miller

Jeffrey Eugene Miller age 68 passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 29, 2026 with his wife and family by his side.

Jeff was the 8th sibling born to Harold and Deveda Carpenter Miller on May 24, 1957 in Barnesville, Ohio.

The family moved to Barberton in 1964, with Jeff attending Hazelwood Elementary, Portage Junior HIgh School and graduating from Barberton High School in 1975.

While attending Barberton High School Jeff was awarded Outstanding Student of the Year in Auto Mechanics 2 years in a row.

After graduating High School, Jeff became co-owners of 31st St Marathon with his brother Joe and were both ASE Certifiied Technicians.

He married the love of his life, Kim on June 7th, 1980.

While business owner, he was able to fullfill his dream of being an accomplished drag race car driver. He won the Top Sportman's class in September 1995.

On December 31, 2010, his career took a different turn. Jeff & Joe purchased a building on Hametown Road in Norton, and became "MILLER AND MILLER AUTOMOTIVE".

On July 31, 2024 Jeff and Joe made the decision to hang up their hard working hats, hands, and tools and retire.

The most import thing in Jeff's life was the love of his life Kim, and his family.

He was very proud of his home and was always the "Life of the Party" at all family gatherings.

He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Deveda Carpenter Miller; siblings, Stanley Harold Miller (first wife Rebecca), Shirley Miller Sandi (Anthony), Linda Miller Heiney, Donna Miller Selogy (Terry ), Wes Miller, Wayne Miller  (Janet Hartshorn Miller). Jeff is survived by his loving wife Kimberly K. (Howe) Miller, sister-in-law Renee (Howe) Smith (Michael); brother, Joseph Miller (Karen Benya); sister-in-law, Michealine Medvitz Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A HUGE THANK YOU to his cousins Rick and Tina Hooker and family for all of their love and support. Jeff, you will be forever in your families, hearts and minds.

Jeff's Calling Hours will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m. Fr. Louis Thomas, officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
