Jessica Lyn Woodley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jessica Lyn (Grim) Woodley, age 40, on July 8, 2025, in Akron, Ohio.

Jessica was born on September 15, 1984 to Eric Hughey and Tonya Ripplinger. She attended Akron Garfield Highschool graduating in 2002 and later graduated from Herzing University for Medical Billing and Coding. Later joining Total Distributions INC as a CSR.

Jessica was known for her hard headedness, sense of humor, her obsession with Tim Burtons “ Nightmare before Christmas”, her love for dolphins, Ford Mustangs, her Dallas Cowboys, but football in general, and in her words "period".

Jessica is survived by husband Matthew Woodley, her parents Tonya (Micheal) Ripplinger and Eric Hughey. Children Trey Grim and Jaylynn Ali. Step siblings Adam (Theresa) Ripplinger and Sarah (Tony) Barbitta. Along with many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Diabetes Association,or contact Tonya Ripplinger for a Trust fund that is set up for the kids.
