BARBERTON---Jewel H. Boice, 80, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 17, 2011.

Born in Wirt County, West Virginia, he had been a Barberton resident most of his life where he retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. after 30 years of service. He was also American Red Cross Blood donor for over 50 years.

Preceded in death by his wife Tib; son David; and daughter Linda; Survivors include his daughters Terrie (Richard) Brent and Shaun (Jim) Jessen; son Lee (Spring); grandchildren Rachel, Sarah, Daniel and Caitlynn; great-grandchildren Camron and Dominic; sister Geraldine (Edward) Gramlich; sister-in-law Maxine (Gene) Steele; and numerous nieces, nephews cousins.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 20, 2011, 11:00 A.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rev. Fleary Spurlock officiating.
