Joan Maria (Fredenburg) Kulig

Joan Maria Kulig (Fredenburg), 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at her home in Barberton, Ohio, surrounded by her family.

Born in Barberton on June 16, 1949, to Mary and Robert Fredenburg, she was a lifetime resident and parishioner of St. Augustine Catholic Church.  Joan was an avid lover of animals and always protective of the family.  She is finally at peace after enduring extensive medical treatments for several years.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, John; brother and sister, Robert and Eileen (John); six children, Charles (Terrah), Julie (Josh), Christie (Tad), Michael, Joseph (Mollie), and Teresa (Adam); and fifteen grandchildren, Savannah, Dustin, Hannah, Drayden, Doug, Skye, Drevon, Madison, Owen, Weston, Nolan, Hudson, Cassie, JT, and Gage.

The family would also like to extend sincere thanks for the love and support from her neighbors, Lynnea and Jeanne, as well as those who have offered their many prayers.

Friends are invited to attend the viewing on Tuesday, September 27th from 5:00-8:00pm at Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Road W, Barberton 44203.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 28th at 10:00am at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW, Barberton.  Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
