Joanna L. Perry (Wolfe)

Joanna L. Perry (or Wolfe to most) maiden name Apati, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday January 24th 2026.

Joanna was born and raised in Akron but spent her later years in Barberton with her husband Dave Wolfe, having both of their families nearby. She graduated from Kenmore High School class of 1989, and later went back to school graduating from the University of Akron, class of 2008 for medical billing and coding. Although she was never able to pursue the career she did use the knowledge she gained to help take care of her mother June Apati. Previously she was a high end manager for Best Buy working in many different stores to get them running efficiently, before quitting and focusing on reselling items on Ebay.

She would always put others before herself and had a very caring heart. She didn’t have much to give but would always offer her time and what she did have to friends or family. Joanna also had a strong love for animals, particularly dachshunds. In the warmer months she always loved to be outside, especially swimming with her family and dog. Joanna will be remembered for being loving and reliable by friends and family alike.

She will be greatly missed for the cheer she could bring to every room by anyone she met.

Her survivors include her husband Dave Wolfe, sons Ron Perry, and David Wolfe, mother June Apati, brother Jon Apati, and sister in laws Anna Roberts, Christi Prater, and Jackie Apati.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 5-6 p.m. at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Pastor Rod Grabski officiating.
