BARBERTON---John K. Bentfeld, 78, passed away June 24, 2019. John was born in North Beaver Twp., PA and retired from Bliss Engineering and was the owner of Bentfeld Sharpening. He served in the US Army for 6-1/2 years as a combat engineer stationed at Kaiserslautern, Germany and also Ft. Dix, NJ. John coached football at United Local for many years and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ethel; brother Gary; and granddaughter Amanda Elise Fortune; he is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth; children Pattie (Daniel) Fortune, Michael (Marianne) Bentfeld, Kay Mangus, Hope Anne (Col. Christopher) Corizzo and Anthony Wood. 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers Tom (Johnnie) and Robert (Mary Lou); and sisters Debbie Smith and Connie Tubbs.
