John "Jack" R. Griffiths

John R. “Jack” Griffiths, 86, passed away December 15, 2022 at St. Luke Lutheran Community.

Jack was born in Massillon and was a Barberton resident all his life. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Jack was a sought after pitcher in the area’s men’s fastpitch softball leagues and played for many years. He loved watching all sports and playing golf. Jack was a great family man and will be missed by all.

Preceded in death by his son Jerry; daughter Kathy Gosen; sister Frances Getz; and brothers Paul, Don and Tom; He is survived by his loving wife of 67 ½ yrs., Louise; sons Bob and John; son-in-law Mick Gosen; grandchildren Kyle, Dustin, John and Abigail; brother Karl (Sue) Griffiths; and sister Mary Ann (Roger) Rankin; and sister-in-law Rose Griffiths.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW, Barberton. Calling Hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to the mass AT THE CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Augustine Endowment Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
