John B. Kulcsar, 85, passed away January 6, 2013. Born in Barberton, OH to Karoli (Charles) and Juliane (Horvath) Kulcsar. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was an avid golfer at Barberton Brookside & Spring Hills Golf Courses; a home vegetable gardener, all weather fisherman. He enjoyed Polka dancing, canning the best Hungarian Peppers and his monthly Poker Gang. In later years, he enjoyed gathering chestnuts and planting them throughout Ohio. He started, owned and operated Magic City Auto Body for 50 years and retired at age 69. He was a member of the Barberton Elks, Barberton Moose, Catholic Order of Foresters and First Hungarian Benefit Society. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Barberton, OH. Preceded in death by his parents, his loving and devoted wife, Artie (First), brothers Michael, Kalman, Alex (Francis), Frank (Eleanor) and Anthony, sister-in-laws Juanita and Ann, sisters Mary, Rose (Sister Mary Benigna), Julia (Falatok), and brother-in-law Eugene First. He is survived by his brothers Steve, Chuck and Joe. Children John (Jan), Jim (Becky), Mark (Mornan), Dave, Diane James and Step-daughter Judy (Butch) Lowe. Grandchildren Jodi (Tim) Tomsik, Kevin (fiance Ashley), Tara (Adam) Rueckert, Natalie (David) Ringeis, Nathan, Mark, MistyDawn, David, Derrick, Daniel. Step-grandchildren Jami (PJ) Bird, Scott (Rhonda) Lowe, Tami (Todd) Carter. 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, brother-in-law Andy Falatok of Spartansburg, SC, sister-in-law Leona First of Barberton, OH, and his loving companion Irene Seigfrid and many extended family and friends. John was very devoted to his family, friends and his '56 Buick Special that he and his brother Chuck lovingly restored. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rosary will be said Saturday morning at 9:15 at the funeral home.
