John A. Seigfried

John A Seigfried, 73, passed away June 29, 2026. 

John was born January 30,1953 in Barberton and graduated from Coventry High School, Class of 1971. He then enlisted into The United States Air Force and proudly served his country from November 8,1971 to November. 7,1975 where he finished as a SGT in Law Enforcement. John married his wife Barbara on Aug,14,1982. They were married 43 years and had 1 son John II.

John enjoyed pro wrestling and especially meeting Rick Flair in person. He enjoyed his hobbies, mineral collecting, stamp collecting, sports, and spending time with family. John loved Boy Scouts as a child and was able to enjoy it again with son John and watched him achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.

Preceeded in death by his father Stephen Seigfried; mother Irene; stepmother Betty; father-in-law Kenneth Morris; sister-in-laws Debbie Seigfried and Lorrie Hornburger; nephew Scott Lieberth; and neice Jenna Dwyer.

John is survived by his loving wife Barbara; son John (Heather); granddaughter Raenah; brothers Stephen (Gertraud), Robert and Frank; and many more family members.

Our family would like to give special thanks to Sanctuary of Wadsworth Staff and Suncrest Hospice Nurse Patrick and Aid Mary for all their care with helping John.

Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 1:15 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville. Please meet at the cemetery.
