John A. Sinnett, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, April 10, 2025. John was known for his contagious smile and his constant willingness to always help everyone anytime he was asked.
John was a graduate of Kenmore High School and a lifelong resident of the Barberton / Kenmore area. He retired from Ohio Edison in 2009 after 37 years as a Lineman / Troubleshooter. John was an active member of the Barberton Moose and Hungarian Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and traveling with his wife Linda. He loved all animals, including watching the birds and squirrels from the kitchen window, feeding the stray cats but especially his grandchildren’s dogs and horses.
He was preceded in death by his parents Winfield and Shirley Sinnett and half-sister Ladonna Darnell. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Linda Wells McKinney Sinnett and children John (Angela) Sinnett Jr., Nicole (Michael) Nist, Lavonne (John) Sennett, Paul (Tina) McKinney and Andrea (Joseph) Mora. His grandchildren Taylor, Johnalynn (Griffin), Mikayla, Allison (Tyler), Auston, Evan (Gianna), Cole, Dalton, great grandchildren Kayden and Carter as well his extended family and numerous friends. Special mention of lifelong friends and neighbors, Joe (Becky) Hall.
John's Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Calling Hours Wednesday from 4:00 -7:00 p.m.
