Joyce L. Hete

Joyce L. Hete (nee Svete) passed away on 07 January 2013 with her husband Charles (Chuck) at her side. She tried so hard but her body just could not fight anymore. She went to join her parents, Frank and Frances Svete and her grandson, Nicholas. Joyce was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1931 lsand then spent the rest of her life in Barberton, Ohio. She married Chuck in September 1950 and then spent the majority of her life raising seven very headstrong children. Our mother loved to read - rarely did you see her without a book, newspaper or magazine. She was fascinated with the British Royal Family and considered herself the "Queen" of her own family. She never missed an opportunity to tweak her children and grandchildren to improve their lives. We are grateful for that. Joyce is survived by her husband of 62 years, Chuck who she named her "favorite" in her last few weeks, her children Beth Shankleton (Derwood), Maria Ozarchuk (Dennis), Joseph (Carrie), Jane Hardman (Mark), Thaddeus (Emily), John, Matthew (Mindy),her sisters Frances (Sally) Maurer and Diana Logsdon, and thirteen grandchildren, Laura, John, Anna, Joseph, Pamela, Jennaca, Suzanna, Sara, Claire, Alexander, Grace, Samuel and Jack and nine great grandchildren, Zoey, Kayla, Jacoby, Isabell, Elijah, Joshua, Jack, Lucas and Nolan. We would like to thank Regency Hospital at Barberton Citizens Hospital for their outstanding care and comfort. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW, Barberton. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Per her wishes there will be NO CALLING HOURS. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the St. Augustine Church Endowment Trust Fund. Please go out and perform one random act of kindness in Joyce's memory.
