Kathleen L. (Forst) Eckel

Kathleen L. Eckel (nee Forst), 74, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023. Born in Barberton, she was a dedicated RN/CNN and ward clerk for 38 years with Fresenius Medical Care. Kathy was a member of American Legion 331 and the Eagles 2164, and also a member of First Lutheran Church of Barberton. She enjoyed bowling and reading books.

Survived by her husband Bob, brother Randy (Janet),daughter Jennifer, son Larry (Angie), son-in-law Todd, stepdaughters Renee, Bobby, stepson Sean, grandchildren Ashley (Zach), Savannah (Zack), Tyler, Haileigh (Charlie), Kaurie, Mark, Freddie, Ian, Ronan, Ben(Lauren), great grandchildren Amara, Riley, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death, parents Vern & Wilma Forst, brother Donald J Forst and daughter Lisa Sizemore.

Kathy’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Pastor Erik Swanson officiating. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church of Barberton.
