Kathleen "Kathy" M. Birli-Green

Our Precious Cousin Kathleen “Kathy” M. Birli-Green, 72, passed away August 3, 2025.

Kathy was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and retired from the City of Barberton. She was a graduate of Barberton High School Class of 1970 and also The University of Akron. She volunteered at the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad where she met her beloved husband Al and also volunteered at the Orville Historical Society Railroad. Kathy loved her fur babies, dogs and rescuing dogs.

Preceded in death by her husband Al; parents Ernest and Mary Birli; and cousin Michael Hanic; She is survived by her cousins Joan, Tom and James Whitaker, Trish Jackson, Ed (Donna) Hanic, Linda Smith and numerous other beloved cousins.

Kathy’s Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home, 1199 Wooster Rd, West, Barberton. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the service. Private burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted to cover Kathy's final wishes.
