Kathryn J. (Fowler) Schrader

Kathryn J. Schrader, 85, passed away December 28, 2022 at the Village of St. Edward at Green.

Kathryn was born in Birch River, WV and had been a longtime resident of Green. She worked at Columbia Chemical Credit Union and was a faithful member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Akron.

Kathy loved to golf and was a longtime member of the Hartville Ladies Golf League. She was the first in our family of golfers to score a hole in one. Mom and Dad traveled across the country in their retirement years spending winters in Myrtle Beach, SC where they also attended New Life Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by her parents Columbus and Belva Fowler; and brother Richard Fowler; She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Kenneth; daughter Donna (Larry) Anderson; sons Richard (Sheila), Robert (Tammy) and David (Jill); grandchildren Tyler (Nora) Anderson and Ashlee (Adam) Hawkins; sisters Mary Ann (Dick) Naegele and Margaret (Don) McLaughlin; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Village of St. Edward at Green for their care and compassion.

Kathryn’s Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4700 S. Main St., Akron. Pastor Jeffrey Hancock officiating. Burial at Greensburg Cemetery. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church or Village of St. Edward Foundation.
