Lawrence Michael Kidney

Mike Kidney at the age of 90 passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from cancer. Mike was a life resident of the area, retiring from Aircraft Braking and Goodyear Tire.

Preceded in death by parents John T. and Theresa Kidney; three sisters, three brothers and his only son Michael Jr.

Mike is survived by his devoted wife Charlotte; step-daughter Denise (Mike) McGuinness and step-son Randy R. Theken; grandchildren Michael Francis of Longview, WA, Sean (Lynsey) McGuinness, Kate (Matt) Hare, Kevin McGuinness and Forrest and Preston Theken who were the light of his life. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.

Mike will be greatly missed and long remembered for his generosity and sarcastic wit by family and friends.

Mike’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 10 a.m., at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW, Barberton. Private Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
