Leona Panich

WADSWORTH---Leona Panich, 95, of the Wadsworth/Barberton area passed away Thursday October 11, 2012. She was born in Akron to the late Louis and Julia Zvansky. Leona worked at Sears Dept. store and was a secretary for St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church for many years. Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Zarko P. in April of 2011; brother Joe Zvansky and sister Irene Vargo; Survivors include her children Karen Rupert, Jerry Panich and Nancy (Bruce) Short; and grandchildren Kristen Rupert and Nicholas Short. Burial Service will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2012, 10 A.M. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 1051 E. Robinson Ave., Barberton. Where the body will lie in state One Hour Prior to the service. Fr. Miron Kerul-Kmec officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery.
