Leona A. (Stephens) Sanford

BARBERTON---Leona A. Sanford, 94, passed away May 1, 2016 at Pleasant View Health Care Center.

Leona was born in Barboursville, W. VA and had been an area resident most of her life. She worked for Saalfield Publishing and also Yoder Brothers. Leona was currently a member of the First Baptist Church of Barberton and was a charter member of Covenant Baptist Church in Barberton. She was also active in the Jeannette Chapter of the Eastern Star #212 where she served as a Matron for many years.

Preceded in death by her husband Robert; six sisters; and three brothers; She is survived by her sons Steven (Ursula) of Barberton and Mike (Eileen) of San Diego, CA; grandchildren Mark, Scott and Amanda; and great-grandchildren Peyton and Logan.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rev. Mike Prebynski officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours from 12:30 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with an Eastern Star Service at 12:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
