Leslie Sipos, age 76, of Barberton, Ohio, passed away on May 18, 2025.
Leslie was born in Hungary on January 31, 1949, to proud parents Paul and Margaret Sipos. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1957, where he lived most of his life in Barberton, Ohio.
Leslie worked in leadership at B&C Machine for many decades, but found his work home at Ariel Corporation, retiring in January 2024.
A gifted woodworker, Les enjoyed spending time creating everything from cedar chests, bookcases to intricately designed shelving and decorations, but his true love was for golf, that he passed on to his son, Keith. He found joy and relaxation on the golf course. His shining moment was July 18, 1991, where he hit a Hole in One on the 5th hole of the Firestone South Golf Course.
Leslie leaves behind a loving family, including his children Heather (Aaron) Miller, Keith (Cindy) Sipos, Katie Sipos, sisters, Clara (Bobby) Starks & Violet Williams. He was the proud "Papa" to 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Nic, Olivia, Ryann, Kayla, Logan D, Macey, Hunter, Logan M., Brinkley & Camden, 5 Great Grandchildren, Harper, Kaia, Andrew, Kenna & Ace (Antonio). Nephews and nieces, Bobby, Kathy, Garth and Lindsay, great-nephew and niece, James and Amanda. He also leaves his sweet, loving dog, Bailey.
Leslie will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his love for his family, and dedication to his work. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved them.
Rest in peace, Les. Your memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Catholic Charities, in his name.
