BARBERTON---Lili Ann Valovcik, 85, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2014 at the Hospice Care Center.

Lili was born in Russia and was a Barberton resident all her life where she retired from Barberton Citizens Hospital Dietary Dept. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, K.S.K.J 111 and Domovina Lodge. She also loved listening to the Saturday morning polkas and her books on tape from the Norton Library.


Preceded in death by her husband Andrew; parents Leon and Anna Makarenko; and sister Alexandria' Survivors include her children Frank (Coleen) Spetich of Barberton, Judy (Patrick) Pramik of Barberton, Michael (Debra) Spetich of Canton; stepson James (Judy) Valovcik of Stow; stepdaughter Catherine Valovcik of Barberton; six grandchildren; her loving great-grandchildren; and sister Violet Reynolds of Hoover, AL.


A special thank you to Ridgewood Hospice for loving mom through her journey. Mom was able to enjoy life everyday with the loving care from Barb and Sue.


Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 21, 2014 at 1:30 P.M at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW, Barberton. Interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be from 11 A.M to 1:00 P.M. on Monday at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, with prayers to follow at 1:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the VNS Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
