Loretta L. Mackey

BARBERTON---Loretta L. Mackey passed away November 25, 2011 at Summa Barberton Hospital. She was born in 1916 in Barberton where she was a resident most of her life and a devout member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. Loretta was a Holy Hour Program captain for 38 years and was also an accomplished pianist. Most of all she was a devoted wife and mother. Preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Robert; and son James; Survivors include her son Richard (Sue) of Chicago; daughters Roberta (Gary) Chastman of Norton, Michelle Mackey of Barberton and Dr. Claudia Mackey of San Diego, California; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sister Gertrude Weaver of Barberton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, 10:00 A.M. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW, Barberton. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Church in Loretta's name.
