BARBERTON----Louis J. Breiding, 82, passed away April 18, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Akron and had been an area resident all his life where he worked at American Hard Rubber and retired from both Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. and Physics International. Louis was a member of the former S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and currently a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Norton. He was also a member of the Barberton Moose Lodge 759 and the Jednota Club. Louis was a proud Navy Veteran having served during WWII. Preceded in death by his son Stephen; parents Henry and Matilda; and brother Thomas; Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Sylvia; sons Michael (Diane) of Norton, Kenneth (Sue) of Wadsworth and Jeffrey (Wendy) of Barberton; daughters Linda Burgess and Renee (Brad) Fox all of Barberton; grandchildren Shannon Breiding, Alison (Danny) Pool, Eric (Julie) Burgess, Angela (Joseph) Waters, Aaron (Sarah) Breiding, Kyle and Tyler Breiding, and Brittany, Morgan and Corey Fox; great-grandchildren Olivia and Caleb Burgess and Kylee Breiding; brothers Robert (Donna) of Alliance, James (Mary) of Louisville and Jerome (Jane) of Canal Fulton; sisters Virginia Uhrig of Kettering, OH and Jeannette Toussant of Maximo, OH. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010, 10 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Fr. James Maloney, celebrant. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours TODAY from 4-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, with a Moose Memorial Service at 7 PM. Prayers will be said Wednesday morning 9:30 AM at the funeral home.
