BARBERTON---Luella J. McDonough, 78, passed away August 14, 2010 at the Hospice Care Center. Born in Forestville, PA, she had been a Barberton resident since 1951 where she was a member of Johnson United Methodist Church. She was an active member of the United Methodist Women and was on the Board of Trustees for the church and the Salvation Army. She was also in the Food Service Ministry at church where she helped with cooking for Kiwanis, soup kitchen, kids club, AARP and vacation bible school. Luella was a poll worker for many years and an auditor for A/C Credit Union.

Preceded in death by her husband Ronald; and 3 sisters and 4 brothers; Survivors include her sons John (Paula) and Dean (Linda) all of Norton; daughters Terry (Dale) Nelson of Norton and Bonnie (Darren) Owens of Michigan; eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and sisters Frances Benim, Dorothy Thompson and Virginia Tologo all of Erie, PA.

Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010, 11 AM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Rev. Ken Gifford officiating. Entombment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Calling Hours Tuesday from 6-8 PM and also one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, Johnson United Methodist Church or Summit Gastroenterology Group.
