BARBERTON---Margaret Angst, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at the Akron General Hospice Care Center.
Margaret was born on February 13, 1928, in Barberton, where she was a life-long resident. She was co-owner of Kamenar Mink Farm and was employed at Marshall's Department store for many years. She was also a past manager of the First Hungarian Benefit Society.
Margaret spent her retirement wintering in Florida and loved spending time with her grandchildren on the beaches of the Gulf Coast. She also enjoyed vacationing in Arizona to visit family. She looked forward to playing bingo and taking senior bus trips with her friend, Bonnie Krska. She loved her children, laughing with her sisters, and gatherings with her grand and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husbands, William Angst, Steve Kurko, and Louis Kamenar; son, Robert Kamenar; parents, John and Elizabeth Horvath; sisters, Elizabeth Despoth, Anne Momchilov, and Mary Bilinovich; and brothers, Andrew and John Horvath. She leaves behind her sons, James (Linda) Kamenar of Barberton and John (Luanne) Kamenar of Brunswick; daughters, Nancy Lynne and Linda (Ronald) Schueler of Arizona; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Louis Horvath of South Carolina.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown, Fr. Robert Stein, celebrant. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling hours Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. Memorials may be made to the Barberton Beautification Fund, c/o BCF, 460 W. Paige St., Barberton, OH 44203 or the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
