MARGARET "PEG" ANN COMBS 81, of Homeland, California, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011, at home. She was married to Edward Combs for 52 years. Born January 3, 1930 in Greensburg, PA, she lived most of her life in the Akron area until living in California for the past 15 years. She was employed by General Motors for 25 years, and enjoyed playing playing golf, bowling and traveling. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Hemet, CA.
Survivors include her husband Edward; sons, Jeffrey (Jen Crano) Combs of OH, Edward (Joan) Combs of CA; sister, Mary J. Howd of OH; grandchildren, William Combs of OH, Jenny Wygle of TX, Tiffany Boyse of CA, and Teresa Combs of Alaska; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Vincent and Mary McArdle, brothers James, Robert and Harry McArdle, son William M. Combs.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 A.M. on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 4022 Johnson Rd., Norton. Rev. James Maloney, celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said at 9:30 AM on Wednesday morning. The family would like to thank the Hospice of Murrieta, CA for all their support, hard work and loving care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Murrieta in memory of Margaret Combs.
