CLINTON----Margaret (Marge) J. Paolano, nee (Santilli), 95, passed away November 20, 2011 at the Smithville-Western Care Center.
Margaret was born in Akron and attended the Cleveland Floral School. She was a resident of Clinton most of her life where she was a member of the former St. George Catholic Church and currently a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Margaret and her husband Nicholas Sr., built a greenhouse where Margaret provided her floral services for many functions in the area. She always enjoyed cooking and always made homemade sauce and spaghetti noodles, homemade ravioli and has her mother's recipe for sugar cookies that she can remember the kids standing in line to get one.
Preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Sr., parents Pasquale and Fabiola and brothers Leo and Frank; Survivors include her son Nicholas Jr. (Judith) of Doylestown; grandchildren Mark Paolano, Nicholas (Erin) Paolano and Julie Anne (Mark) Solis; great-grandchildren Meghan and Jonathan Paolano, Olivia Paolano and Trevor and Rylee Solis; sister-in-law Betty Santilli; and many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011, 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4009 Manchester Rd., Akron, 44319. Interment at Clinton Cemetery. Calling Hours Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton. In lieu of flowers, masses may be requested in Marge's name.
