Margaret M. Seifert

BARBERTON---Margaret Mary (Ligas) Seifert, age 83, of Barberton, Ohio, crossed over into loving arms of God on December 9, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Barberton, born on July 12, 1930. She was the youngest child of a family of eleven children. She graduated from Barberton High School in 1948. She worked for Yoder Brothers greenhouse for many years. She was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Union, the Rosary Society of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church and the funeral luncheon program at St. Augustine Church. She liked to watch the Cleveland Browns and the Cavaliers. She liked to watch Bernie Kosar, Tiger Woods and LeBron James play. She always watched the Summer and Winter Olympics. She loved to send cards to her family. You could always know that you would receive a card for Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, birth of a child and graduations, often with a lil money tucked inside. She was proceeded in death by parents Andrew & Mary Ligas (Cerven); her sisters, Mary (Richard) Kenna, Susan & Elizabeth Ligas, Ann (Louis) Shipka, Josephine (Steve) Machek; her brothers, Andrew Ligas, Frank Ligas, Joseph (Vivian) Ligas and her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard, who passed away on August 28, 2012 and daughter-in-law Leslie (Reeder) Seifert. She is survived by brothers George (Norma) and Peter (Pat); her nine children Richard (Linette) of Doylestown, Greg (Karen) of Cuyahoga Falls, Joseph of Middletown, CA, Michael (Lisa) of Seville, Mary Ann of Akron, Susan (fiancAC. John Boggi) of Surprise, AZ, Barbara (David) George of Amherst, David (Theresa) of Barberton and Peggy (Jim) Carson of Hudson; her grandchildren, Jason (Sandra), Nicole, Kaylie, Karla, Kari, Michelle, Caitlyn, Emily, Logan, Dylan, Spencer, David, Casey, Carmen and William; her great-grandchildren, Coen, Ravenna, LilyAnn, Landon and Collin; sister-in-laws Patty & Catherine Ligas; and special friend Maryann Steele. We want to thank Dr. Christian Cook, Dr. William Wojno, Barberton Fire Department and Akron Summa Hospital and staff. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW., Barberton. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
