Marianne Maser

Marianne Maser, 92, passed away peacefully May 3, 2026 at The Inn at CoalRidge.

Marianne was born in Akron and was a Barberton resident most of her life. She worked at Barberton Citizens Hospital as a nursing assistant, R.E.M. Inc as a secretary and also Sears Dept. Store. Marianne was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where she sang in the choir, was on the prayer shawl ministry and active with the Knights of Columbus #14111 Ladies Auxiliary.

Preceded in death by her parents Nicholas Ducar and Miriam and John Glynn; husband James; and granddaughter Emily Nigh; She is survived by her children Nikki Dye, Jim (Susi) Maser and Kris (Randy) Brummond; grandchildren Brian (Krista) Nigh, Kevin (Haley) Brummond, Troy Brummond, and Sabine and Christian Maser; and great grandson Krue Brummond. The family would like to thank the staff at The Inn at CoalRidge and also Cadre Hospice for the care they showed Marianne.

Marianne's Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the Mass At the Church. Private Burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or the Alzheimers Association.
