BARBERTON---Mark Dokich, 97, passed away March 28, 2011 at his residence. Born in Akron, he had been a Barberton resident most of his life where he retired from Voris Cleaners after 39 years of service. Mark was a kind, gentle man and loved cats especially his cat Bosco. He kept very active with his artwork well into his 90's having made over 600 pictures which were on display at the Barberton Public Library.
Preceded in death by his wife Mary and brothers Sam and Rudy; Survivors include daughters Marolyn (Louis) Gusbar of PA., Mary (Mark) Hawkins of Barberton and Marian Kindel of Barberton; grandchildren Nada Marie Ball, Anthony (Amy) Gusbar and Edward Gusbar; great-grandchildren Tom, Rose and Jonah; 2 nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Barberton Hospital, the staff from ICU, 6th Floor and Regency Hospital, Grace Hospice as well as all the doctors who attended to dad. A special thank you to Phyllis and the staff of North East Professional Home Health.
Precious Lord take my hand, I am tired, I am weak, I am worn. Lead me home to the light Precious Lord.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011, 1 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, Steven Struharik officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Calling Hours ONE HOUR PRIOR to service time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Hospice of Ohio, 16600 Spraque Rd., Suite 90, Middleburg Hts, OH 44130 or Friends of Pets, P.O.
