Martha I. Pokopac

BARBERTON---Martha I. Pokopac, 91, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 20, 2013.


Born in Cleveland, she was a Barberton resident most of her life and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Martha was also a proud Navy Veteran having served during WWII.


Preceded in death by her husband John; son Michael; and brothers Robert and Clayton Sendelbach; Survivors include her daughter Cathy Pokopac of Barberton; son Eugene (Connie) of Georgia; granddaughter Michelle Pokopac of Georgia; brother Jim (Ruth) Sendelbach; and caregivers Ashley and Lisa who have helped take care of Martha over the past two years. Cathy couldn't have done it without them.


Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Wednesday from 5-8 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton, where prayers will be said Thursday morning at 9:30 A.M.
