BARBERTON---Mary Frattura (nee Biasella) passed away January 9th at the age of 101 at Pleasant View Health Care Center. She was born January 1, 1912 in Floreffe, Pennsylvania, the first of ten children. Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Albert, her grandson, Michael, her five brothers, and three sisters. Mom is survived by her daughters, Beverly( Richard ) Waltz, Donna( Joseph) Duve, Patricia( Michael) DeJacimo, son Albert( Linda), and sister Norma ( David) Drumm. She was avid homemaker and wonderful cook hosting many family gatherings serving her signature homemade pasta. She loved being around her 16 grandchildren and her 23 great grandchildren . She was involved in many organizations, CYO and St. Vincent-St. Mary High School to name a few. She traveled with Patterson Park Seniors and took her first plane ride at age 85 to her grandson's wedding in Germany. She loved singing and art all the way up to her death. Her outgoing and gentle personality endeared her to everyone that she came in contact with. We would like to thank the aides, the nurses, and the rest of the staff at Pleasant View Health Care Center for their loving and compassionate care of our mother. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, January 14, 2013 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204-6th St. NW, Barberton. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours Sunday from 1-4 P.M. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton where prayers will be said Monday morning at 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Frattura- Waltz Scholarship Fund at St. Vincent-St.Mary High School , Pleasant View Health Care Center- Activity Fund or a charity of choice.
