BARBERTON---Mary J. Gaynor, 95, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 11, 2011.

Mary was born in Barberton where she was a life resident and worked at Dior Studios and First National Bank. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and a 90 year member of the former S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, where she was active in St. Anne's Society. She was also a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokol Wreath 103. Church and family were very important to Mary as well as the Cleveland Indians.

Preceded in death by her husband William and granddaughter Bethany White; Survivors include her daughter Marilyn White of Norton; sons Denis Gaynor of Ravenna and William Jr. (Mary Ann) Gaynor of Canton; grandchildren Gene (Terri) White of New York, Marie (David) Ellis of Norton, Gary White of Florida, Rachel (Jerry) Spence of Ravenna, Steve Lucas of Arizona, Rebecca (John) Falconer of Canton, Mike (Elizabeth Ann) Gaynor of Columbus and Elizabeth (Jon) Jacob of Canton; Nine great-grandchildren; and special friends Mary Pudis and Bernie Pudis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 A.M. on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave, Norton. Fr. Robert Jackson, celebrant. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. Calling Hours One Hour Prior to the Service all at the church.
