Mary J. (Mcardle) Howd

BARBERTON---Mary J. Howd born November 20, 1926 in Greensburg, PA, left this world on May 15, 2016 in the company of those who loved her the most. She is preceded in death by all her siblings and her sons, Robert D. and David W. and her grandson, Andrew Howd.  She is survived by her daughter, Cinder (Bill) Rae and her granddaughters, Courtney Fogle, Roberta (Ohran) Carlisle, her grandsons David (Ronnell) and Michael Howd along with 7 great grandchildren. Mary retired from Higbee’s as a seamstress and continued to do alterations at home for many people.  If she couldn’t fix something, no one could.  She loved crafting and doing volunteer work for local organizations.  She had been a Rosie the Riveter and a member of the Marion Club and the Elk’s Emblem Club. Due to Mary’s wishes cremation has already taken place.  Family requests no flowers, but should you wish to donate please do so to any local animal organization. A “celebration of life for Mary” will be held at SILVA – HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton on Thursday, May 19, 2016 from 5–7 P.M.
