Mary L. (Sayko) Jursik

Our family lost a very loving, talented and hardworking woman on August 13th 2021. Mary was born to Gabriel and Elizabeth Sayko in 1927. She married the love of her life, Joe Jursik, in 1947.

Mary loved her job and friends at Babcock & Wilcox. She was an extremely talented seamstress and took great pride in gardening and her home. She never missed a class reunion or the chance to take a bus trip to a casino.

She leaves behind, her husband of 73 yrs, Joe. Daughters, Becky Jursik and Janet Maczko. Son, Jim Jursik (Cindy) Grandchildren, Courtney Skelton (Mark) Brittany Jursik (Ryan Kane) and Jocelyn Maczko. Great grandchildren, Kingston and Clementine Skelton  and Aaron Kane. She was preceeded in death by her brother Gabe and grandson JJ Maczko.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 204 Sixth St. NW., Barberton. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Calling Hours Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m. at the SILVA-HOSTETLER FUNERAL HOME, 1199 Wooster Rd. West, Barberton.
