Mary L. Kochis

Mary L. Kochis (nee Bolas) “Mary Lou” passed peacefully on May 9, 2026.

Mary was born in Akron, Ohio and was a life-long resident of Barberton. She retired from Springwall/ Schubert Industries after more than 42 years of dedicated service. She often recounted her fond memories from her career there. Mary was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and everyone that knew Mary learned a lesson of strength and being thankful to “The Almighty God” for living on this earth and showing love to those around you.

She lost the love of her life, Robert Kochis, after 59 years of marriage, she is also preceded in death by her parents Peter and Minnie (Zahab) Bolas; brothers Emil Bolas, Thomas Bolas, and sister Helen Brummert; she is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends who view her as a second “Mom”.

A special thanks to the devoted caregivers, servers and friends Mary made at Woodlands at Liberty in Wadsworth Ohio. She loved the visits and talks and great care she received there.

Mary’s Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Rose Hill Burial Park, 3563 West. Market St., Fairlawn Ohio. Please meet at the Mausoleum inside the cemetery.
